Everything You Need To Know About Traveling To Miami During Covid

I don’t know about yall, but I was in a desperate need of a vacation. This blog is all about everything you need to know about traveling to Miami during covid.

So, this trip was different and consisted of about 12 people. Due to covid Miami has a 11 p.m curfew. Now if you have ever visited you know how crazy that time is. South Beach in the past was known for never sleeping. So, when planning this trip, I knew I had to get creative with some of the things to do.

Where to stay: Most of the party stayed at the Nautilus Hotel on 18th and Collins, beautiful resort style hotel, with great amenities and even better for photo opps. They offered cabana rentals for the beach and even had chairs with umbrellas to accommodate additional guest.

I stayed at Dream Hotel, which is a super sexy intimate hotel located on 11th and Collins. Their service was amazing, and I love the whole vibe of the hotel. It is also centered perfectly in the heart of south beach and most places were 10 minutes walking distance.

What to do: Thursday we had a beach early and ended it around two p.m. to prepare for our boat rental. We booked our boat through getmyboat.com and had a great captain. The boat comes with water, Bluetooth speaker capabilities. Our driver took us out to the keys and the celebrity island to view the homes on the water. It was such an amazing experience and I recommend renting a boat 10/ 10 to set your trip off.

Friday we had lunch at The Licking in South Beach. Isaw reviews that service wasn’t the best but honestly the guy at the door was super cool and set us in an area that could accommodate our whole party. Our waiter was super chill and sweet. It was pretty busy so I recommend going early to get the most optimal experience. Everyone enjoyed their food as well.

We ate pretty heavy since The Licking is a soul food spot, so for our dinner reservation we mainly had drinks. Some people might be thinking to themselves like what, drinks only? Lol But when you book at Sugar Factory, the drinks are an experience. They have a plethora of drink options and you have to find the perfect drink combo for you.

After that we hit the strip, even though there was a curfew we were still able to bounce around and ended Friday night at Wet Willies. Our party ended up slitting up, the girls all sat together, and the guys had a table. We ended the night with good drinks, French fries and good vibes. I recommend A Call the Cab if you are not sure where to start. We walked back to our rooms, people had music playing and some of my people even dance in the street. It really was a whole mood.

Saturday morning: I went parasailing for the first time. It was such a beautiful and relaxing experience. We booked in advance through Lowes on South Beach. It was 80 dollars if you booked in advanced. The views of the water were so captivating, and I even saw sharks! I was in awe of God’s beauty and it is something I would definitely do again.

After parasailing we had cabanas set up and beach chairs, with our music and drinks. A beach day is a must in Miami. Everyday honestly if you can fit it in your schedule.

We ended our last night at Prime 112. This is a very busy restraurant so make sure you make a reservation. The food was amazing, the set up was beautiful, they played all the perfect oldies music and we all broke out in a karaoke tune, to Before I let You Go by Frankie Beverly and Maze. It was such a dope time, we even got to watch Lebron sweep the Nuggets on the embedded tv screen…lol but that’s another story.

Sunday we are ending the day with relaxation on the beach and light brunch at Bacon Bitch.

If you are planning a baecation, staycation or vacation in Miami. I hope you found this blog to be helpful. Disclamer all locations including Ubers do require you to wear a mask. As always happy dating!

Sincerely,

Your Sista on the Sofa,
